Influence of fiber fabrication processes on attenuation in an optical load-carrying cable

F. Kh. Aminov, E. N. Karaman, A. V. Khaĭdarov
Abstract: A determination was made of the attenuation in a three-fiber optical load-carrying cable fabricated under different conditions. Optimization of the twisting process made it possible to construct an optical load-carrying cable with attenuation in its three channels not exceeding that in the original optical fibers.
