Abstract: It is proposed to activate liquid-crystal matrices with 3-acyloxy derivatives of oxazine 17 which are highly soluble in such matrices and exhibit a high degree of order. The results are reported of an investigation of lasing of these dyes in isotropic and mesomorphic phases.
