Abstract:
The gain was determined for a D2–CO2–Ar mixture excited by a non-self-sustained discharge initiated by an electron beam. At low CO2 concentrations (from 1 to 3 %) the gain ranged from 0.4 to 0.8 m – 1. The maximum specific energy which could be deposited in the mixture without disturbing its homogeneity amounted to 400 J · liter – 1 · atm – 1.
