Abstract: An investigation was made of the active medium based on an Cr3+Yb3+Ho3+:YSGG crystal, suitable for solid-state lasers and amplifiers. Spectroscopic and lasing characteristics of this crystal were determined. The gain of the new crystal was higher than that of Cr3+Er3+:YSGG.
