High-power $Ne-H_2$ laser pumped by a compact industrial accelerator

Abstract:
Emission of 585.3 nm pulses of 1.5 k W power ($\sim$15 kW/liter) was observed from a mixture of the $Ne:H_2= 2:1$ composition at $p=0.65$ atm and a record-low input energy ($\lesssim30$ mJ). The excitation source was an electron beam from a MIRA-2D industrial x-ray unit.
