Stabilization of the degree of compression of randomly modulated multisoliton pulses by the method of multistage spectral filtering
V. A. Vyslouh, N. A. Sukhotskova
Abstract:
Numerical methods are used to show that a self-modulation instability of multisoliton randomly modulated pulses can be suppressed and that the length and degree of compression of such pulses in fiber waveguides is strongly stabilized by multistage spectral filtering. The effectiveness of the proposed compression procedure increases if the energy of the pulses is stabilized so that fluctuations do not exceed 3–5%.
