Abstract:
A new method is proposed for retrieval of information on phase shifts between interfering optical fields. Principles of construction of a correlation interferometer utilizing multimode fiber-optic waveguides are developed. It is shown that the dependence of the change in the interference pattern on the additional phase shift in one of the interferometer arms is quasiperiodic.
