Control of laser radiation parameter

Active mode locking in a continuously pumped YAlO3:Nd3+- laser (λ = 1.34 μm)

Ya. S. Sidorin, A. M. Strel'tsov, A. V. Tarasov
Abstract: A laser was constructed from an yttrium aluminate crystal YAlO3:Nd3+ and an acoustooptic modulator made of a CaMoO4 crystal. The use of these two components made it possible to operate the laser under active mode-locking conditions and to generate pulses of 40-ps duration with a peak power of 315 W when lasing occurred at a wavelength of λ = 1.34 μm.
