Abstract:
The holographic filtering method was used in differential processing of signals from a two-arm fiber interferometer. Holographic filters were found to be capable of processing the whole aperture of the interference field and forming two optical signals, which were antiphase in respect of the intensity. Differential processing of the optical signals increased the sensitivity of fiber-optic sensors by a factor of two, reduced the level of the intrinsic noise in the fiber interferometer, and made it possible to reduce by 15 dB the influence of the drift of the operating point of an interferometer in the temperature range 20–65 °C.
