Control of laser radiation parameters

Spatial mode locking under multibeam lasing conditions

A. B. Vasil'ev, P. V. Korolenko, V. N. Tikhomirov
Abstract: Experimental and theoretical investigations were made of a physical mechanism of spatial mode locking in multibeam gas lasers. The conditions for phase locking of the output beams were determined. It is shown that multibeam lasing could be used to improve the spatial and spectral characteristics of the output radiation.
