Abstract:
A model and program for large-scale engineering calculations dealing with various pulse-periodic metal vapor lasers is proposed and applied. The results are given of a numerical investigation of the influence of the prepulse electron density and populations of the lower active levels on the maximum average radiation power obtainable from barium, gold, manganese, copper, and lead vapor lasers.
