Radiative characteristics of buried mesa stripe heterolasers emitting at 1.5 μm

Abstract: An experimental investigation was made of changes in the angular distribution of the radiation at the moment of appearance of self-modulation pulsations in buried InGaAsP/InP heterostructure lasers emitting at 1.5 μm. This was attributed tentatively to "leakage" of the output radiation at technological irregularities in the active medium.
