Luminescence spectra of XeF2 excited by radiation from the excimers Xe*2 and Kr*2

Abstract: An investigation was made of the dependences of the intensity of the luminescence due to electronic–vibrational transitions in XeF* molecules in the ultraviolet spectral region on the pressures of different buffer gases. When XeF2 was photolyzed by excimer radiation in the presence of xenon, luminescence of the triatomic molecule Xe2F* was detected. The dependence of its power on the pressures of N2, Kr, Xe, and Ar was investigated.
