Efficient nonlinear optical converters made of potassium titanyi phosphate crystals
A. L. Aleksandrovskiĭ, S. A. Akhmanov, V. A. Dyakov, N. I. Zheludev, V. I. Pryalkin
Abstract:
The method of crystallization from a molten solution was used to prepare high-quality potassium titanyi phosphate single crystals. The frequency doubler for quasi-frequency cw radiation from a mode-locked YAG:Nd3+ laser had an efficiency of conversion to the second harmonic amounting to 52% (for a crystal 7.2 mm long). The 90° phase matching (relative to the Z axis) was possible in the case of frequency doubling and parametric generation of light of wavelengths 0.85–1.42 μ.
