Dependences of characteristics of fast electrons on laser radiation parameters

V. B. Rozanov, S. A. Shumsky
Abstract: An analysis is made of a simple model for formation of fast electrons in a caviton field. The dependence of the temperature and number of fast electrons on the laser energy flux density and on the plasma temperature is obtained near the critical density. A steady-state corona model is used to relate the fast-electron characteristics to the parameters of the incident laser radiation.
