Abstract:
A method of selective multiphoton dissociation of molecules is used by way of example in a study of cascaded (multistage) enhancement of the elementary laser isotope separation effect. The aim is to determine the conditions which ensure high degrees of separation and exhaustion of the target isotope. Three variants of enhancement of the elementary separation effect are proposed. An analysis is made of the influence of the yield and the selectivity of the multiphoton dissociation process on the characteristics of laser separation reactions and cascades.
