Continuous-wave transfer chemical lasers (review)

A. A. Stepanov, V. A. Shcheglov, N. N. Yuryshev
Abstract: A review is given of the state of the art in the case of cw transfer chemical lasers which operate on the basis of energy transfer from excited reaction products to the active (light-emitting) molecules or atoms. The physical principles of the operation are presented, a qualitative interpretation of the main experimental results is given, and future trends in the development of these lasers are discussed. Special attention is given to recent results.
