Abstract: An experimental investigation was made of a new substance TiCl4 with promising properties for wavefront reversal. A comparison with the known gain g and the known lifetime T2 of CCl4 under stimulated Brillouin scattering conditions was used to find g = 2×10–2 cm/MW and T2 = 2 nsec for TiCl4.
