Frequency tuning and mode self-locking in He–Sr recombination laser

Abstract: An investigation was made of the spectral characteristics of spontaneous and coherent radiation of 430.5 nm wavelength emitted by a helium–strontium laser. Coherent radiation was frequency tunable over a range of 12 GHz. Moreover, mode self-locking was observed under certain conditions.
