Acoustooptic conversion of a guided mode into a leaky wave in an LiNbO3:Ti waveguide
D. V. Petrov, J. Čtyroký
Abstract:
Theoretical and experimental investigations were made of conversion of a guided mode into a leaky wave in an anisotropic waveguide as a result of Bragg diffraction by a surface acoustic wave. The method of coupled modes is used to find the efficiencies of conversion into the guided and diffracted parts of the leaky wave. The results are reported of an experiment carried out in the acoustic frequency range 100–270 MHz.
