Investigation of optical and elastic properties of fluoride glass using Brillouin scattering

Abstract: Brillouin scattering was used to measure the Rayleigh scattering losses and also to determine the elastic and elastooptic constants of a fluorozirconate glass which is potentially useful for the development of very long optical communication lines.
