Wind refraction in a homogeneous path considered in the paraxial approximation

Abstract: An analysis of a system of equations of the aberration-free (paraxial) approximation is used to obtain analytic expressions that describe the change in the maximum intensity and the shift of the intensity maximum away from the axis. The results obtained are compared with the corresponding numerical solutions of the parabolic equation.
