Lasing threshold and divergence of radiation emitted by semiconductor lasers pumped longitudinally by an electron beam

Abstract:
A solution of the wave equation for the field in an active resonator is used to calculate the lasing threshold, frequency spectrum, and divergence of radiation in the form of higher off-axial oscillation modes emitted from semiconductor lasers pumped longitudinally by an electron beam. The results obtained are compared with the experimental data.
