Formation of periodic surface structures on film coatings

V. N. Anisimov, V. P. Kozolupenko, A. Yu. Sebrant
Abstract: A model experiment is suggested for the investigation of periodic surface structures formed in a thin (less than 0.5μ) nitrocellulose film coating on a copper mirror. The angular distribution of the radiation scattered by a "degenerate" grating was determined. The calculated profile of the relief agreed well with that found experimentally.
