Abstract:
A study was made of a picosecond resonant optical parametric oscillator employing an LiNbO3, crystal and synchronously pumped by the second harmonic of the radiation from a quasi-cw YAG:Nd3+ laser operating in the regime of active mode locking and Q switching at a repetition frequency up to 10 kHz. The duration of output pulses was 15 psec, the tuning range was 0.85–1.4μ, and the average output power was 25 mW.
