Spectral characteristics of a glass fiber neodymium laser

Abstract: The emission spectrum of a glass fiber neodymium laser consisted of separate spectral lines and the total width of the spectrum decreased on increase in the temperature of the active medium. It was established that when giant pulses were emitted, each spike corresponded essentially to one line in the spectrum.
