Gain increments of Stokes fields in stimulated scattering of spatially inhomogeneous radiation

Abstract: An experimental study was made of the amplification of Stokes components of stimulated Brillouin scattering correlated and uncorrelated with spatially inhomogeneous pump radiation. It was found that the ratio of the gain increments for the correlated and uncorrelated components was 2.0 ±0.2.
