Abstract: The spread function is constructed for a linear system comprising an inhomogeneous medium, wavefrontreversing parametric radiation converter, and inhomogeneous medium. An analysis is made of the resolution and contrast ratio of the reconstructed image. It is found that the resolution of the system is governed solely by the resolution of the radiation converter. The parameters of the system which influence the contrast ratio of the reconstructed image are determined.
