Electron-beam tube with a laser screen

A. S. Nasibov, V. P. Papusha, V. I. Kozlovsky
Abstract: A description is given of the construction of an electron-beam tube with a screen made of a single-crystal semiconductor wafer in which laser radiation is excited by the electron beam. The electron-optics system, construction, and principal characteristics of this tube are described. A tube of this kind can be used in optical memory devices, color projection television, and high-speed oscillography.
