Influence of phototropic centers on the efficiency of energy extraction from YSGG:Cr:Nd

Abstract: Suppression of amplified spontaneous emission and a 1.5-fold increase in the energy efficiency were achieved in YSGG:Cr3+:Nd3+ crystals when saturable Cr centers absorbing at a wavelength of 1.06 μm were formed.
