Lasers

Dependences of the parameters of radiation pulses emitted by a F2–H2 laser on the rate of initiation by a relativistic electron beam

Abstract: An experimental study revealed the existence of an optimal specific energy of initiation of a fluorine–hydrogen mixture by a high-power relativistic electron beam. In the presence of a good catalyst, the relaxation of SF6 in the active mixture increased greatly the output radiation energy and the duration of lasing.
