Abstract:
It is shown that the variation of the frequency of radiation emitted by atmospheric-pressure CO2 lasers can be of monotonic or nonmonotonic nature and that the frequency range in which the bulk of the laser energy is emitted varies with changes in the photon lifetime in the resonator and the discharge input energy if the initial position of the longitudinal resonator mode is fixed.
