Abstract:
A study was made of the performance of diffused microienses formed in glass by the method of electrostimulated ion exchange with a molten mixture of silver and sodium nitrates. The investigation was carried out in the near infrared spectral range. The focal lengths of microienses ranged from 0.1 to 2.5 cm for lens diameters 0.04–0.25 cm. The resolution was 20-25 lines/mm. Arrays of microienses were also constructed and investigated. The losses at a contact between a single microlens and an injection laser were 6 dB.
