Characteristics of phase-locking an array of optically coupled lasers with a random scatter of eigenfrequencies

Abstract: Arrays of a large number of optically coupled lasers with a random scatter of eigenfrequencies exhibit formation of "domains" within which the phases of the fields of the individual emitters are close. It is shown that injection of a small external signal can equalize the phases within such domains.
