Theoretical analysis of the stimulated emission spectrum of a pulsed electron-beam-controlled 12C18O2 laser

Abstract:
Calculations are made of the frequencies of transitions in the 0111-[1110, 0310] "hot" band of the 12C18O2 molecule. These data are used in a theoretical analysis of the stimulated emission spectrum of an atmospheric-pressure 12C18O2 laser. It is found that most of the radiation energy is concentrated in the IIP(18) and IIP(20) lines in the short-wavelength branch (λ≈9.3 μ) influence of the degree of enrichment of the carbon dioxide gas on the stimulated emission spectrum of a 12C18O2 laser is discussed. It is found that single-frequency stimulated emission can be achieved due to the IIP(18) or IIP(20) transitions by altering the composition of the carbon dioxide gas in the active medium.
