Full-text PDF (975 kB) Citations (3)
Abstract: The two-frequency lasing regime was investigated in a cw dye laser pumped with an argon laser. An output power Pout = 1.23 W and a lasing efficiency of 14% were obtained for a stable twomode laser emission spectrum. This efficiency was comparable with that of a single-mode dye ring laser. Fluctuations of the frequency separation between the two modes and the widths of each of the axial modes did not exceed 10 MHz.
