Investigation of integrated-optics Luneberg lenses made by laser evaporation

Yu. A. Bykovskiĭ, A. V. Mironos, V. L. Smirnov
Abstract: An analysis is made of the design of generalized Luneberg lenses and a method of preparing them by laser evaporation is described. The results are reported of a numerical calculation of the profile of the thickness of a Luneberg lens. Consideration is given to the possibility of fine correction of the parameters of Luneberg lenses by exposing them through a special mask to an He–Ne laser beam.
