Characteristics of the amplification of picosecond ultraviolet pulses in an XeCI amplifier

Full-text PDF (825 kB) Citations (6)
Abstract: A numerical investigation was made of the amplification of picosecond pulses in an XeCI amplifier, taking into account the real vibrational–rotational structure of the gain spectrum of the XeCI molecule. It was found that the coherent effects can be manifested and, in particular, that a marked reduction can take place in the duration of the pulses which are amplified.
