Abstract: A copper halide laser was excited by vacuum-tube and thyratron oscillators. Several laser tubes were arranged in parallel and operated synchronously in order to increase the output power. It was found that not only the average but also the peak powers were additive. One laser tube produced output radiation of 18.5 W power, whereas three tubes arranged in parallel and focused at the same point produced 30 W.
