Adiabatic and nonadiabatic distortions of modulated structures induced by a laser field in nematic liquid crystals

S. M. Arakelyan, H. S. Karayan, Yu. S. Chilingaryan
Abstract: An analysis is made of a theory of light-induced nonlinear optical phenomena in liquid crystals. The attention is concentrated on establishing a general pattern of orientation effects in a laser field under different experimental conditions, and to find the differences between the effects of laser and static fields.
