Criteria of light sensitivity of media and optimization of hologram recording

A. O. Ozols, K. K. Shvarts
Abstract: An analysis is made of the problem of a general definition of light sensitivity of optical recording media and a solution to this problem is suggested. This is based on a set of holographic light-sensitivity parameters. This approach makes it possible to describe the efficiency of the recording mechanism irrespective of the actual optical and geometric parameters of samples, as well as to optimize the recording process, as demonstrated experimentally.
