P. P. Pashinin, V. S. Sidorin, E. I. Shklovskii
Abstract:
A comparative experimental investigation was made of two compact YAlO3:Nd3+ and YAG:Nd3+ optical oscillators with a GeC4 stimulated Brillouin scattering (STBS) mirror utilizing the self-injection-locked laser concept. The pulse energy of this type of single-mode YAlO3:Nd3+ laser was ~ 75 mJ at pulse repetition frequenices of up to 10 Hz. A description is given of a YAlO3:Nd3+ laser system with STBS mirrors, emitting a train of short (tp ≈ 1.5 ns) pulses with an energy of 0.5 J.
