Abstract: A pulsed high-pressure (up to 3 atm) NH3–N2 laser is described, having an output power of 10 kW at a frequency of 868 cm–1 and optically pumped by radiation from a TEA CO2 laser. It was established that when the parameters of the NH3–N2 laser resonator and the pump intensity were fixed one could achieve an increase in the operating pressure of the active medium on using a depleted NH3–N2 mixture having an increased partial pressure of ammonia.
