Applications of dynamic holography in determination of coherence times of single picosecond light pulses

Abstract:
A description is given of a method for the determination of the coherence time of single picosecond light pulses. A phase holographic grating of nonequilibrium carriers in a semiconductor is used in this method. The experimental results obtained by this method are compared with those deduced from vector second harmonic generation in a KDP crystal.
