Comparison of the methods used to describe the process of scattering of a guided mode by an inhomogeneous part of a dielectric waveguide

D. V. Petrov
Abstract: The Green function method is used to find the field of a wave emitted by a guided mode incident on a part of a dielectric waveguide with a periodically varying permittivity. A comparison is made with the results obtained by the method of cross-section functions.
