Investigation of a rectangular electrooptic Bragg waveguide coupler
A. M. Belin, K. K. Svidzinsky, G. M. Turbina
Abstract:
Experimental and theoretical studies were made of an integrated-optics controlled Bragg coupler with a rectangular diffraction grating formed in a lithium niobate substrate carrying a titanium waveguide. The measured distributions of the intensity along the exit aperture of the coupler and the dependence of the diffraction efficiency on the coupling constant were in agreement with calculations based on the equations describing noncollinear coupled waves.
