Optical measurement of the surface temperature of metals under pulsed laser irradiation conditions
A. A. Uglov, A. N. Ermolaev, V. I. Zavideĭ
Abstract:
High-speed optical pyrometry and spectroscopy were used to study the laws governing the changes in the surface temperature caused by heating several metals with λ = 1.06 μm pulsed laser radiation in a protective helium atmosphere at power densities of 104–106 W/cm2. Evolution of a spontaneous oscillation mechanism of the interaction between the radiation and the metal surface was observed close to the boiling points of the metals.
