Characteristics of laser radiation

New opportunities for soliton transformation in fiber-optic elements

D. V. Khaĭdarov
Full-text PDF (467 kB) Citations (3)
Abstract: A new method is proposed for the transformation of optical pulses, including solitons, in fiber-optic elements such as a loop–mirror and a Mach–Zehnder interferometer. The method is based on phase cross modulation accompanying a nonlinear interaction between a pulse and cw radiation of different wavelength.
