Enhancement of the efficiency of wavefront reversal systems using ring resonators

Abstract:
The use of a ring resonator which provides positive feedback both for the signal and the reversed waves is proposed to enhance the quantum efficiency of wavefront reversal systems based on degenerate parametric processes. Calculations are made of dependences of the improvement in the reversed wave power on the pump intensity, ring resonator losses, reflection coefficient of the entry mirror, and other parameters.
