Possibility of compensation of nonlinear phase distortions by parametric radiation converters

Abstract:
The example of Gaussian beams is used in considering the possibility of compensation of nonlinear phase distortions in wavefront reversal systems by means of degenerate parametric processes. The necessary correction of the wavefront is achieved by using spatially modulated pump radiation beams. A suitably corrected reversed wave reconstructs the wavefront of the original signal after passing for the second time through the distorting medium.
